Potty Time

Well I ran out of diapers and all I have is pullups so we are going to try again with dylan. Today he came to me and said clean and that is what he says to me when he has pooped but this time he hadn't pooped yet so I rushed him to the potty and he finished going poop in the potty. Of course I made a big deal about it going in the potty and let him flush the toliet. He loves to wash his hands too, I think it's more of playing in the water but whatever works when you are training them to wash their hands after using the bathroom. He seemed like he was proud. We will see how the rest of the day goes but I am taking it slow. He seems like he is just on the verge of being ready so we will see.

Parent/Teacher Conference

So Tyler and Kyle's parent teacher conferences are over. We had Tyler's first. We met with his teacher Ms wilkins (who happens to have been kyle's teacher in first grade) and she said Tyler was doing very well. The only thing Tyler needs to work on is his reading as in giving his reading emotion. Tyler is also in the top of his class as in reading and math. He is going to start having homework on monday and has to start reading for 1 hour a week and will have spelling words. Otherwise Tyler is doing very well. The teacher said nothing about card pulling (although he has pulled some) but it was nice not to have that an issue. Kyle's parent teacher conference was tonight and it went great also. His teacher Ms. bradshaw was very nice and she made me feel very proud. She mentioned like 10 times how brillant Kyle was and how he is reading at the top of the School (yep not only the top in his class but the top of his school) He is getting an A in reading and spelling and handwriting. He is getting a C in math but that is only because he forgot to turn in about 5 assignments. His teacher was very nice and gave him the 5 missing assignments and told him that if he did them and turned them in monday that he was be getting an A in math. Well before we left the conference, Kyle got his long awaited Roadrunner Medalon. He won it last year for being an excellent student in class and in school. He was very proud and so was I.

A Day & Night At The Cabin And Some Shopping

So 4 of us girls decided to go up to my friend Heather's Cabin for one day and one night. Let me tell you that it was my first time ever at a cabin so I was very excited. I drove to my parents house and left my truck there and Heather came and picked me up and then we went to go pick up Vanessa and Carolina. We did take a little detour in park city and hit about every shop there at the outlet stores. We had sooooo much fun. Of course when we were done, we were all mad at ourselves for spending so much money but I personally got over it quick because I don't get this opportunity very often and I found some awesome deals. We went to the Gap and got matching sweaters as you will see in the pics. Dorky maybe but it was fun. After we spent 2 hours shopping and had about 10 bags each of stuff we decided that we were hungry I mean starving. We all got in the car and headed off to feed our stomachs. We stopped at a Dairy Keen (no, not dairy queen) and the food their was so good and the place had trains that went around on the ceilings, it was pretty neat. After we had ate our food we set off for the cabin. We decided that we had to drop off all of our bags so that we could go shopping for food. Well when we got to the cabin it was beautiful. Everyone picked their rooms and then we headed off for smiths. We decided to get a chicken and make some chicken alfredo and we also picked up some goodies and some breakfast for in the morning. We then headed back to the cabin and put away all the food except for the chicken alfredo and Vanessa and Carolina cooked. It was soooo good. After dinner, we went outside and took a bunch of pics then we went down and played the Wii and let me tell you there was so much laughing going on it was great! We played Bowling (my favorite), Golf, Tennis and Mario Racing. After we did that we got out the popcorn, chips, salsa and pop and watch the movie "27 dresses". After the movie, we headed to bed. In the morning we got up and started making breakfast, we had eggs, bacon, pancakes, toast and orange juice. Heather, Carolina and I made the breakfast. After breakfast we pretty much cleaned up and then left. It was so much fun and I hope to do it again soon. My husband watched the two boys while Kyle went to his grandma's house. It was so good to see the kids when I got back but the "house" was a different story which I will not share.

A Night At The InstaCare

Well before you think this story is going to be about Tyler, you are wrong. Kyle was the unlucky one. He was playing outside and tripped and fell on his knee. When he came in and we looked at it we knew it was going to need stitches. So I packed up Kyle and took him to the Instacare. Sam was nice and watched the other two boys while I went. When we got there we found out that they don't do the shot if you don't want them too. They can just put some gel into the cut to numb it. We had to wait about 20 mins or so for it to take effect. After that it was TIME. Kyle was pretty brave until the stiches were going in but I think it was more of being scared than feeling it. He ended up getting 5 stitches in his left knee. He now has to keep his leg straight for 10 days and then we go back to get the stitches taken out. The nurse gave me the best news before we left and it was that I didn't have to pay another co pay when we come back in.

Kyle Lost Another One

Well the tooth that wouldn't come out for me came out for kyle today. He came up to the car smiling away with a big hole in his mouth. By the way he looked I could tell he had lost it. Kyle was very excited for it to be out finally.

Tyler Lost Another One

So last night Tyler and I were sitting down when I got the courage to try to get his tooth to come out. Now if you know me, I am very freaked out about blood so this was a step up for me. Well after a few minutes of wiggling and pulling Tyler's tooth came out. He was so excited for the tooth fairy to come. Kyle also has a loose tooth and so I tryed to get his out too because I was on a roll but no luck with Kyle's tooth, It is very loose but it just wouldn't come out. We are going to try again tonight.

Some Help Please

So I will start out saying that I am not the world's greatest cook. I know how to make the basics like, spagetti, chicken alfredo, enchilada's (thanks heidi) and shephards pie (thanks again heidi), oh and I make the "best" pork chops (or so my husband says) but I would like to be able to cook some more things. I love it to be as simple as possible so if any of you out there have some good recipes that are quick and simple I would love for you to share. Also I must tell you that my husband Sam is very picky, many of the things that he does not like are tomatoes, mushrooms or rice so many good dishes I want to make I can't because he won't eat them. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Just leave your recipes as a comment to this post.

Pulling Colors

Can I just say how much i hate the "color" system at the elementary schools. For some kids it works but for some kids it puts extra pressure on them. I mean kids are going to do little things like talk, make noises etc.... I mean come on. I just can't wait till I don't hear the sentence I pulled a color anymore. My kids are very good in that they don't pull ALOT of colors but when they do it's like the whole world is going to end. Anyway I just needed to get that off my chest and vent.

A Day For Me

So today I finally took some time for myself. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids but sometimes you just need a little "me" time. My husband watched the kids and that in itself was wonderful. I went and got my eyebrows done and then afterwards I went and did a little shopping and then went and ate at one of my favorite restaurants Panda Express with my friend Heather. It was nice to just hang out with a friend and not have to worry about my boys running around the place screaming and fighting or asking for something. Then when I got home, I gave all my boys the biggest hug and kiss a mom could give.
